Vintage Wool Overs – The First Brochure Part 2/2

We’re hugely proud that some of our customers have been shopping with us for years, but we bet not many of you can remember the very first catalogue from 1993?

As explained in Part 1 Mark has kept the very first Wool Overs brochure, so we had great fun comparing the old styles with the new ones.

Plus, some of our jumpers have returned to 1993 prices in the Winter Sale!

The Guernsey Jumper

This channel islands classic will never go out of fashion and has still kept its tunic style body and side vents. Soft but incredibly hard wearing, it was £29.00 back in 1993.

The Guernsey Cardigan

This cardigan still remains a classic. Available in the same colours and made of 100% pure wool, it keeps pretty much exactly to the original design. Previously featured for £34.99, it’s still the same price in our Winter Sale.

The Aran Sweater

An unmistakable British classic. The Aran is one of those jumpers which is recognisable anywhere and you don’t have to be going mountaineering to wear one. Pretty much honouring the original design completely, it was in the old brochure for £24.99.

The Nordic

We’ve greatly extended our Nordic range since the 90s to include a few other designs, but the original Nordic jumper is available in the same colours, but with a slight update on the design. As the original, it may have a Norwegian style pattern, but we still use 100% pure wool.
