It is important that we work with suppliers who share our values
In a world full of cheap disposable clothing made from unethical synthetic fibres,
WoolOvers are proud to use only natural yarns in our quality clothing, accessories and more.
Not everyone can meet our high standards, and we have been building relationships
with suppliers for many years to bring you the best clothing at the fairest prices.
We care about the people creating your clothes and have built strong, mutual relationships with our suppliers over many years.
All our suppliers must agree to meet the standards set out in our Code of Conduct, T&Cs and our supplier manual before they can be a WoolOvers Group partner.
These policies cover many ethical issues such as modern slavery, auditing, workers rights, garment testing and animal husbandry.
The longevity of our partnerships enables us to support our sustainability goals and improve compliance year on year.
The WoolOvers Group has developed a Code of Conduct that follows the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code. This outlines standards that all our suppliers must adhere to and is internationally recognised.
The ETI is a UK formed alliance of companies and voluntary organisations who are working to improve the safety and lives of workers worldwide, by ensuring they are free from exploitation.
Our suppliers must agree to adopt and follow the ETI base code founded on the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
We have partnered with like-minded brands who share the same values our concerns over real sustainability.
Many of these brands are based in the UK and create beautiful artisan products. Mother and daughter team Wild Sage & Co. manufacture handmade, cruelty-free natural soaps and skincare from their cottage in Hertfordshire.
Roama specialise in sustainable activewear and Helen Round produce handmade, printed homeware accessories in Cornwall.
We have more ethical brands joining us over the coming months.
We are stringent in how we onboard all our suppliers and factories.
We require all suppliers to complete a modern slavery questionnaire and sign our Modern Slavery Policy, Code of Conduct and T&Cs, as well as ethical compliance documentation.
We send out our modern slavery questionnaire on an annual basis which requires all suppliers to submit information regarding their working practices and internal efforts to mitigate modern slavery within their facilities.
We insist on up to date audits provided for all our factory locations and non-compliance of this would lead to the termination of that working relationship.
