Being truly sustainable means caring about the end of a garments life
just as
much as how is was produced. It’s not enough to care
how something is made, we need to ensure it doesn’t end up in landfill.
We have a long way to go in ‘closing the loop’, but we are introducing new ways
to help your quality garment live-on for longer, deliver it in a more sustainable way and dispose of damaged or unwanted items back at our HQ.
From 2021 all our swing tickets were made from 100% FSC approved paper. We also scrapped polyester internal clothing labels which are now made from biodegradable cotton. Plastic kimbles went, too.
In the last year we have more than halved our paper usage and all full-time staff at our HQ are provided with laptops. All work, including note taking and presenting is done on these laptops, reducing the need for paper printouts and notepads.

We aim to use fibres grown from sources that use less water and fewer nasty chemicals. We work with organisations committed to the welfare of the animals that provide our wool yarns and the people who manage them.
Understanding how and where our clothing is made, and working closely with trusted partners ensures we can deliver high quality products in a more ethical way for the planet and those who make them.
One way to a more circular fashion model is to wear clothes for longer. We believe in slow fashion. Fashion that’s made to last. Hand-me-downs that will give pleasure for years to come unlike cheap disposable fast fashion.
To help extend the life of your favourite knits, we have introduced repair yarn to all our classic knitwear. In a handy recycled envelope, you can use the yarn for smaller repairs or use our new garment repair and refresh service.
We are now working with IINOUIIO who take consumer wool waste and repurpose it into a fabulous range of yarns and fabrics to create new products. All your damaged wool returns and our HQ swatches are sent to them.
Over the last eighteen months we have removed over a million plastic bags from our supply chain. All our garment bags are now biodegradable and our dispatch bags are 100% recyclable, biodegradable and compostable. Made from FSC certified resources.
