Colours we love… Yellow

28 Jul 2017

With all this miserable rain, it may not feel much like summer right now, but that’s no reason not to celebrate summer! After all, it comes only once a year, it’s normally short-lived and it’s perhaps everyone’s favourite season!

So, how can you bring sunny joy into your everyday when the weather is less than lovely?

Wearing bright colours on dreary days can go a long way to counteracting a gloomy feeling, and few other hues are as anti-gloomy as yellow is!

From pale lemon to dark mustard, yellow is a great colour when it comes to summer dressing (with or without the sun!). It partners well with dark and neutral colours, such as black, navy, grey and cream, it suits both fair and dark complexions, and it can make you appear brighter and well-rested, which is a God send if you’re feeling a tad tired!

Moreover, it is a fantastic, happy and sunny colour, perfect for lifting your spirits if you’re feeling a bit down over the lack of summer sun.

So, why not give it a go? We’ve got lots of excellent yellow-hued, summer knits waiting to make good on the rainy, grey days we’ve had recently.

Perfect for cheering up even the wettest of weekends, both our 100% Cotton Cable Front Jumper and our 100% Cotton Sleeveless Rib Knit Jumper in Yellow Marl are casual and comfortable ways to wear yellow.
