Have we had a summer this year? At times, yes, but mostly (sadly) no!
Although we may still enjoy an Indian summer, come September, it is safe to say we haven’t really lucked out this year with the sunshine! But not to worry, autumn is on the horizon.
One of the best things about the changing seasons and the autumn months is cosy, comfortable dressing. Soon you’ll be able to enjoy soft and snuggly, chunky knits, oversize shapes, and all your favourite, warm and cosy, natural pieces.
We recently shot our fantastic, autumn ’17 collection in a beautiful location, and now we’re thoroughly excited for autumn dressing!
Discover our behind-the-scenes snaps from this shoot below, and you never know, perhaps you’ll forget about the lack of summer sunshine, and get excited about autumn dressing too.
We discovered Walnuts Farm, in Heathfield, East Sussex, and immediately fell in love with how wonderfully natural it is. Oozing lots of English-countryside charm, this rustic location was the perfect place to bring our new, autumn collection to life.
The two-day shoot was a mixed bag, in terms of the weather; day one was overcast and damp (which is actually the perfect weather for an autumn shoot), but day two was warm and sunny. We shot both in the farmhouse and outside in the grounds. Our three, excellent models wore our new, colourful styles and our quality classics very well, and everyone had a lot of fun on the shoot, despite the somewhat up-and-down weather!
Our buyer, Emily, having a swinging time!
Talented photographer, Murray doing his thing.
Dutch, male model, Remco chilling out with our Buying & Merchandising Director, Richard.
We’ve got lots more to come from this brilliant shoot, so stay tuned!
