Halloween actually falls on a Monday this year, but we suspect it will be this weekend when all the spooky shenanigans occur! Whether you’re planning on stepping out after dark with your little darlings, or cosying up on the sofa with a glass of wine and a good ol’ fashioned horror movie, we’ve got lots of warmth bringing essentials to keep your tootsies (and everything else) toasty this weekend, and far beyond.
Everyone knows the littlies love Halloween because it means they get to stay up a bit later than normal, hoon around the streets dressed as superheroes and eat sugar way after bedtime! Love it or loathe it, it’s Trick or Treat Time. Escorting your little angels around the block this weekend? Then make sure you stay warm!
Lovely lambswool; this warming, durable do-gooder will help you conquer the cold if you’ve been tasked with supervising the goody hunt! A coatigan is always a good idea for Trick or Treat Night as it gives warmth without the weight, which is perfect if you’re encumbered with loads of kids’ jackets, bags, Halloween novelty bits (bet you can’t wait)!
Halloween can be hectic, and it isn’t for everyone. For those reluctant to get involved with all the ghoulish goings-on, there’s always the pub! Wrap up warm, gather a group of good friends and squadron through the scary scenes towards the sanctuary of your local. Good, hearty food and fine ales await! Why not add a little luxury to your evening out with a soft and special, cashmere sweater?
Halloween heralds the start of the dark nights, and there is no better time to stay home and get cosy. Cook something homely, crack open a bottle of red and get seriously “nesty” with your favourite Fright-Night flick. Enter Ultra-soft, cashmere-merino. Whether it’s a polo neck jumper, a cardigan or a blanket wrap, weekend essentials become tactile and fantastically feel-good in this wonderful, cold-weather-ready yarn.
Films we’ll be enjoying in our cuddly knits (read: terrifying ourselves with) this weekend includes: The Wicker Man, The Fog, The Shining, The Birds, Carrie and Psycho. What about you?
If you’re lucky enough to have a nice outdoor space, and perhaps even a fire pit, there is no better time to wrap up warm, and enjoy the spooky ambience and wonderful, wintery feeling this weekend brings, without having to stray far from home. Some folks even bring Bonfire Night forward, putting on mini fireworks displays. So, you never know, you may even catch some impromptu entertainment! If you are enjoying the evening alfresco, stay warm. A chunky crew neck cardigan and a cosy scarf are both essential!
Out and about, or at home, the Halloween weekend marks the start of many, fantastic, cold-weather celebrations. Winter is wonderful. Enjoy it to the full.
