Autumn has officially arrived.
The mornings are getting crisp and chilly, the ground is littered with amber leaves, and the air is becoming a medley of fresh, earthy scents.
As the season changes we’re all changing with it, getting back into familiar routines and looking forward to our plans for the future.
To help you step out looking and feeling great this season, we’ve listed four wonderful ways to enhance your autumn beauty routine.
One of the best things about autumn is coming home on a blustery day to warm yourself up with some comfort food. There are plenty of healthy autumnal dishes that are not only delicious, but also great for ensuring a healthy, natural glow.
When the chill starts to get to you, come home to this carrot and ginger soup from BBC Good Food. Its rustic mix of vegetables tastes like home, and the carrots’ rich Vitamin A content is great for healing damaged skin and maintaining a healthy complexion.
This vegan shepherd’s pie courtesy of Jamie Oliver is perfect for feeding a crowd, a tasty way to lay off the high-fat meats, and its hearty mix of vegetables makes getting your five-a-day a breeze!
For an autumnal dessert without too much sugar, give these clean eating pumpkin muffins from The Kitchen Shed a try. These moreish treats are easy to make and will keep the kids happy before the sugarfest on Halloween.
With the weather cooling off, it’s time to get your wardrobe equipped with some practical garments for autumn layering.
Our New Collection is brimming with beautiful new jumpers, cardigans, and coats in a variety of understated, earthy colours to keep you toasty when you’re out and about. There’s also lovely new scarves to finish off your new look or experiment with wardrobe favourites.
Everywhere you look, there seems to be a different piece of advice for ageing gracefully. This season, we thought we’d clear up the confusion by bringing in some expert help!
Tricia Cusden is the founder of Look Fabulous Forever, a beauty range made specifically for older women, which makes her something of a pioneer. Aside from that, she’s a published author, a champion for the empowerment of older women, and outspoken opponent of “ageism”. We’ve asked her what her number one tip was to keep it looking great through the autumn and winter. She says: “As we lose any summer colour from our faces we need to add a touch of vibrancy by wearing some lovely makeup. Apply a creamy foundation to unify your skin tone and then add a beautiful peachy pink blusher to your cheeks. Don’t be afraid of a bold lipstick colour – it will bring your whole face to life.”

The beautiful palette of colours that autumn brings in makes walks in nature delightful. However, they won’t always be an option thanks to the erratic English weather and your busy schedule!
With this in mind, why not take autumn as an opportunity to discover some new, indoor exercises?
Yoga is great for relieving stress and improving flexibility, sleep quality, and core strength. It’s also accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. Routines can be as long or as short as you like, and you need minimal equipment if any at all!
Pilates will also offer a whole host of benefits, both physical and mental, and anyone can give it a try with relative ease and no expenditure.
If you’re in need of something loose and comfortable to get started with your new home exercise routine, why not check out a collection of great joggers, camis, and more in our Loungewear Collection?
Of course, we’re all for self-improvement, but don’t forget to unwind and have some ‘me’ time this autumn.
We’ve partnered up with our friends at The Little Soap Company to offer one of our Cashmere & Merino Blanket Wrap along with an Organic Pure Rose Geranium Pamper Pack to make your nights in that much cosier!
