Message to Woolovers, I think you may need to double check the details on this jumper, in the catalogue, as I have bought many Merino wool jumpers, and this feels more like Shetland wool. The label inside just says 100% Wool. I am keeping the jumper because I like it so much, regardless.
Thank you for your feedback. This style has been woollen spun, meaning the fibres are spread out evenly in thickness but short fibres are not removed creating a hairy/fuzzy appearance. Our other Merino styles are part carded, meaning shorter fibres are removed creating the silkier and smooth appearance. They are two difference techniques of how wool can be spun but are both Merino wool. We hope this information is both reassuring and helpful. If you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to get back to us.
