There are many ways in which you can get involved in celebrating Her Majesty’s historic reign in the run-up to and during the Platinum Jubilee Weekend.
There will be street parties everywhere and celebratory park picnics. Don’t miss out on the fun and check your local council and community websites for events local to you.
Make it fun, dress up for it, have your favourite foods, wear red, white and blue, make some bunting and decorate your home and garden. Take the opportunity to bake some tasty treats for your family, and friends and impress them at the street party.
Throughout the weekend your TV will be chock-a-block with eye-catching, celebratory Royal entertainment. Make it even more special by inviting family and neighbours to share these monumental moments with you.
On the 2nd of June grab the comfiest seat in the house and your favourite drink, invite family and friends and turn on the TV to watch Trooping the Colour held at Buckingham Palace. This wonderful tradition includes 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians and is to mark the Queen’s official birthday. It will finish off with an RAF fly-past watched by the Queen and members of the Royal Family from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Starting at Buckingham Palace, more than 1,500 Platinum Jubilee beacons will be lit throughout the UK, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, British Overseas Territories and for the first time, in the capital cities of Commonwealth countries.

Her Majesty The Queen
On the 5th June. The Jubilee pageant will combine theatre, street art, music, dance, circus, costume and more. This awe-inspiring festival of creativity will take place in London and include talent from across the UK and the Commonwealth.
During the pageant, a procession of 200 silk flags depicting the pictures of school children’s hopes and aspirations for the planet will process down the mall like a moving river called The River of Hope.
Come and celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen at the Tower of London, where a spectacular, colourful, vibrant field of flowers will fill the Tower’s moat.

Official Sandringham Platinum Jubilee Beacon Thursday 2 June, from 7pm, official lighting of the Beacon 9.45pm Continuing the long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees, Weddings and Coronations - the lighting of the Sandringham beacon will mark the Platinum Jubilee in the Royal Parkland, accompanied by live music from a Piper and the Hunstanton Band.
