My Fisherman Crew has been an outstanding success, worn constantly in the colder spells. One highlight…the lady sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder to tell me how much she admired my jersey, the neatness of its seams etc and “was it handknitted?” . Of course I told her all about Woolovers.

I bought the new crew towards the end of the winter so haven’t worn it much. However, it’s not my first and I was pleased to buy another as:
I like the look and colours, it’s a good fit, it wears well, retaining thickness and shape through fairly heavy use (in the appropriate season) and washing.
The texture’s great – quite soft despite being fairly tough.
So a favourite!

I purchased the Fisherman crew sweater to wear this coming winter. It was exactly as I expected it to be namely thicker than the sort of jumper you can buy for men on the High Street and a very good fit. It is good to be able to buy jumpers of this type in wool at a sensible price and I feel confident that it will give me the wear I expect from it.

Yes, I am delighted with my Fisherman's Crew! Just like my Woolovers Aran, it feels smooth and soft and not at all itchy, even if it touches my neck, where I am usually very sensitive to wool. When I wore it over the winter, it kept me lovely and warm but I never felt sweaty or over-heated as you do in man-made fibres. I love the Kiltimagh colour and it goes just as well with long cosy skirts as it does with trousers. I feel very cosseted by it!
It is excellent value, very reasonably priced and a pleasure to buy as it is British made, of British wool!
